Eldorado Holiday Tournament Day 1

ELDORADO — Day one at the Eldorado Holiday Tournament did not disappoint.

Best game of the day was the Gallatin County Hawks and the Hamilton County Foxes. Went to overtime after Gallatin had a last second look at the buzzer in regulation. The Foxes pulls away late in overtime and wins it 65-59. Gallatin led by junior Jaxon Carney with 19 points and three threes, sophomore Talan Smith added 15. Hamilton County senior Ethan Kessler finished with 20 points and four threes.

The Herrin Tigers rallies past the Hardin County Cougars 50-44. Full highlights available. Sophomore JJ Gwaltney led Herrin with 18 points and four threes. Hardin County senior Nate Massie had 23 points in the loss.

Fairfield Mules holds off West Frankfort Redbirds 43-37. Seniors Owen Gruen and Jake Easton with 14 points each for Fairfield. West Frankfort junior Parker Allen also finished with 14. Full highlights and recap posted.

Edwards County Lions wins it 68-48 vs the NCOE Cardinals behind Cash Conner’s 19 points. I have video and a recap from that one, but not full highlights.
