Marion rolls past Massac County to remain unbeaten

MARION — The Marion Wildcats improved to 4-0 on the season with a 72-47 win over Massac County Saturday night at home.
Marion had four players score in double figures, three of them underclassmen. Sophomore Makhi House led all scorers with 19 points and threw down three dunks in the win. Junior Blake Blue added 15 points, senior Sam Adkins finished with 12, and junior Cam Curry chipped in 11 points and two dunks.
Massac County was led by junior guard Jude Harmon, who scored 15 points and knocked down three three-pointers. The Patriots fall to 4-2 on the season after going 0-2 over the weekend with losses to Murphysboro and Marion.
Marion will open South Seven Conference play Friday against Carbondale. The Terriers enter at 3-5 overall and 0-1 in conference action.
Massac County will look to bounce back in its home opener against Harrisburg. The Bulldogs come in with a 4-3 record.
