Johnston City Opens Season with Dominant Win Over Carmi-White County

The Johnston City Indians started their season in impressive fashion with a 46 to 8 victory over the Carmi-White County Bulldogs. As expected, the Indians leaned on their powerful rushing attack, and it delivered in a big way.
Senior running back Jace Weaver led the ground game with 164 yards on 11 carries and scored two rushing touchdowns. Junior Marcus Leitzen added two more touchdowns on the ground, giving Johnston City a steady presence in the backfield.
The Indians also found success through the air. Quarterback Kaiden Koenig threw two touchdown passes, both hauled in by wide receiver Wyatt Henderson, adding another dimension to the offensive attack.
With the win, Johnston City begins the year 1-0 while Carmi-White County falls to 0-1.
