Kozuszek Leads Nashville Over Carlyle

Freshman Brantley Kozuszek has been named this week’s Ballin4God Player of the Week.
Kozuszek scored the game-winning touchdown in Nashville’s 28-21 victory over Carlyle. With the Nashville down by one late, quarterback Cole Stiegman found Kozuszek in the end zone to seal the win and give the Hornets a 1-0 start to the season.
Kozuszek had a standout performance, finishing with three total touchdowns and 121 total yards. He recorded 94 receiving yards on seven receptions, including the game-winning score, and added 27 rushing yards on four carries with two rushing touchdowns.
Nashville now turns its attention to a big non-conference road matchup at Carterville. The Lions are coming off a thrilling 35-34 home win over Marion.
