Excluding the playoffs, the Johnston City Indians have won 19 straight road games. If you count the playoffs, the Indians still lead with 6 wins. Since COVID, Johnston City has been one of the most dominant teams in Southern Illinois, and that dominance has continued. They have just one road game left this season at Red Hill. The question is, how long can the Indians keep their streak alive?

The Indians aren’t just tough on the road. Over the last five seasons, excluding the playoffs, they’ve gone 19-3 at home. Their three losses came to Sesser-Valier/Waltonville (SVW) in 2023, Dixon in 2024, and Nashville in 2021. Those teams weren’t slouches either. SVW made the 1A quarterfinals, Dixon reached the 4A quarterfinals, and Nashville finished as the 2A state runner-up.
