Centralia Cruises Past Marion on Homecoming Night

Centralia vs Marion Highlights

The Centralia Orphans dominated their homecoming game with a 55-28 victory over the Marion Wildcats. Centralia jumped out early and led 41-20 at halftime.

The Orphans were powered by their sophomore trio of Archie Goewey, Kenny Bratton, and Kruz Jackson. Goewey passed for 360 yards and seven touchdowns on 19 of 29 completions. Bratton hauled in seven receptions for 147 yards and four touchdowns, while Jackson added 115 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

With the win, the Orphans improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play. They now turn their attention to a pivotal matchup at Cahokia, as the Comanches also sit at 5-1 and 2-0 in the conference. Marion, meanwhile, dropped to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the conference. The Wildcats will look to regroup and get back on track as the playoffs draw closer.
