The DuQuoin Indians are back at home to take on the Nashville Hornets. The Indians have already clinched a playoff spot at 6-1 while Nashville sits at 5-2 and is playoff eligible. A win for the Hornets would lock in their postseason spot. The winner of this River to River matchup takes second place in the River to River Mississippi Division with Benton already clinching first at 4-0 after beating both the Indians and the Hornets.
The Indians have outscored opponents 267-110 and average 38.1 points per game. They’re led by senior quarterback Johnathan Brown who’s passed for 767 yards, 13 touchdowns and 2 interceptions while also rushing for 780 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Nashville has outscored opponents 281-144, averaging 40 points per game and hitting 40 or more in four games this season. The Hornets are led by sophomore quarterback Cole Stiegman who’s thrown for 1,358 yards, 16 touchdowns and 4 interceptions with a 70% completion rate.
