Richland County stays perfect, cracks the Top 5

The Benton Rangers remain atop the Ballin4God Rankings for the sixth straight week after defeating rival West Frankfort 39-0. The Carterville Lions hold steady at #2 following a 50-7 win over Massac County, as junior Johnny Miller eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards on the season in the victory.
Cahokia secures the South 7 Conference Championship after a 40-8 win against Centralia, keeping them locked in at #3. The Johnston City Indians stay at #4 after defeating Hamilton County 44-6.
With Centralia’s loss, the Richland County Tigers move into the top five for the first time this season, remaining undefeated after a 41-22 win over Paris. Du Quoin holds at #6 with a dominant 48-13 win over Anna-Jonesboro.
The Centralia Orphans drop to #7, followed by Nashville and Marion at #8 and #9, respectively. The Chester Yellowjackets nearly suffered an upset in a narrow 38-37 home win against Dupo, which allows Flora to move back into the top 10 after defeating Fairfield 28-20.
On the outside looking in are Chester with 16 points and Waterloo with 10, along with a few other teams receiving votes.
