This week’s Ballin4God Player of the Week goes to two players. Centralia sophomores Archie Goewey and Kenny Bratton. The duo helped lead the Orphans to a big homecoming win over the Marion Wildcats.
Goewey passed for 360 yards and 7 touchdowns, completing 19 of 29 passes with great efficiency. Bratton hauled in 7 receptions for 147 yards and 4 touchdowns, while also making an impact on defense with 2 interceptions. Keep in mind these guys are only sophomores.
Both Centralia and Cahokia remain undefeated in conference play. Cahokia spoiled Mt. Vernon’s homecoming with a 42-18 road win, while Goewey and Bratton powered Centralia past Marion 55-28.
The Orphans now prepare for a huge road test at Cahokia, with a piece of the South Seven championship on the line. Who do you think comes out on top?
